Get Fit at the Time You Want!

Notice something a little different at Arbor Glen over the past few days? Thought your clocks were wrong, or that Daylight Savings arrived somewhat earlier this year? If you were a little confused, there’s no cause for alarm! The Arbor Glen staff has made a few changes in the hours for your convenience!

Beginning this past holiday weekend, the hours for the fitness center and clubhouse have been extended until 10 PM on Friday nights. Now you can get in that late-night workout on the weekend, too!

Also changing are the Sunday night hours. Both the fitness center and clubhouse will be closing at 9:30 PM these evenings.

Make sure to take note of this and everything else included in the Arbor Glen monthly newsletter! It will keep you updated on everything in the community and around town in Lakeland.

It’s #Cabernet Day!

September 2nd may not mean anything significant to a great deal of people, but to the wine community, it’s Cabernet Day! Oenophiles all over the nation (or world for that matter) are consuming Cabernet Sauvignon and celebrating this holiday.

Notice the pound/hash sign in the post title? The #Cabernet hashtag is being used all over Twitter today in order for people interested in this Cab Sav holiday to follow the conversations going on about this day. Search this tag and follow the conversation about one of this great red wine!

Though today is a holiday, wine should be celebrated everyday. Tim’s Wine Market is a great resource for you to learn more about wine and purchase some of the best Cabernets out there. There are locations all over Florida, including Lakeland.

Buying Fresh When You Can’t Go to the Farmers’ Market

It’s a shame the Downtown Farmers Curb Market isn’t open during National Farmers’ Market Week, but there are other ways you can get the freshest produce possible without even having to leave Lakeland.

Lakeland is the home of Publix, one of the best grocery stores around. Here, you can always fresh produce, including your favorite fruits and vegetables, along with life’s other necessities.

If you want to guarantee your veggies and herbs are the freshest, even more so than the grocery store, why not consider growing them yourself? Starting an apartment garden is easy for anyone to do! have a few plants on your balcony, or do your research to find low-light appropriate plants so you can place them anywhere in your apartment.

Get in Shape with Arbor Glen’s Help!

Have you heard? We’re having one last personal training session this month and it just so happens to be tomorrow, July 28th, from 6 to 7 PM.

Arbor Glen actually has multiple personal training sessions each month, but we understand it sometimes proves difficult for everyone to get out to these sessions, but you always have options for keeping in shape around Arbor Glen and right in your apartment.

If you can’t make it out to one of our personal training sessions, set your own fitness schedule and come to the Arbor Glen fitness center when you get a chance. We have state-of-the-art equipment that is sure to help you with your fitness goals.

Want to venture outside of Arbor Glen? Lifestyle Family Fitness offers great deals to all potential members, and their facility is top-of-the-line. Did you win a great deal from Lifestyle Family Fitness at our pool party this past weekend?

One of the easiest ways to get in your 30 minutes of exercise each day is to do so right in your apartment. You can buy very basic equipment like free weights, or a jump rope, both of which can be stored away easily. Without equipment, you can still jog in place, do push-ups, and various other strength and cardio exercises right in your home.
